Newsies is going on the road .....

Newsies is one of 8 Mainstage Shows selected to perform at the Florida State Thespian Festival in Tampa, FL in the Straz Center for the Performing Arts the week of March 13-16, 2024! It is an immense honor to have been selected for this kind of recognition and it is the first time in 32 years that UHS has been chosen to bring a Mainstage to the State Festival. In order to take our production of Newsies to State, we have to transport our complete set to the Tampa Convention Center, along with fees for Royalties, Vendors, Costumes, Set materials, Charter Buses, Hotel accommodations, feeding growing high schoolers and so much more. The estimated total cost of the trip is close to $90,000.
