A Gift from Gabe
A Gift from Gabe is a fund that was started to honor the memory of Gabriel Ortiz. Gabriel was a 7th grade student at Arbor Ridge K-8 School who was tragically killed in a hit and run while riding his bike in the school neighborhood on December 22, 2021. The Ortiz Family and Gabriel's Arbor Ridge Family knew Gabe to be a giving person; he was always concerned with others and if they had what they needed. His giving nature created the idea for A Gift from Gabe... a way for Gabe to keep giving back to the community and for his memory to live on. Your generous donation will keep A Gift from Gabe going. It will allow students to apply for funding to cover those needed expenses – clothing that fits, athletic equipment, a backpack, etc. Gabriel would not want any student to go without. We appreciate your donation and keeping Gabe’s memory and mission alive!

If you prefer to give by check, please make it payable to "Foundation for OCPS," write "A Gift from Gabe" in the memo section, and mail it to the Foundation for OCPS, 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32801.
"A Gift from Gabe" Fund will maintain a separate account at the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools available only to "A Gift from Gabe"; it will be tax deductible as a contribution to a 501(c)(3) organization with transparency and full disclosure.
