The Howard Middle School Academy of Arts Fund raises dollars to address unmet needs at OCPS’s first all-magnet performing and visual arts school. Howard offers a full arts curriculum to its students, which includes electives in band, orchestra, chorus, guitar, piano, dance, theatre, musical theatre, visual arts, digital art, and STEM.
The HMS Fund Board is made of up parents and teachers who work closely with the Principal to prioritize the needs of teachers and students.
The Fund raises money that goes directly to Howard Middle School programs and teachers in the form of new instruments and instrument repairs, classroom materials and school improvements.
For the 2022-2023 school year we have set a goal to raise $5,000. With your help, Howard can grow its world-class offerings and distinctive performance opportunities to foster students’ creativity and love for the arts.
Contributions to the HMS Fund can be made at any time and are tax deductible. The Fund can receive gifts via credit card, cash, or check (payable to Foundation for Orange County Public Schools or FOCPS) in one payment or multiple installments throughout the school year. Checks should be mailed to The Foundation for Orange County Public Schools, 445 West Amelia Street, Orlando, FL 32801 and in the memo section please list Howard Middle School Fund.
