We will list all those honored on our website, and share as many stories as possible on our site, too.

Favorite Program/School
"In August 2018, our son, Shaun, not only began high school at East River but chose JROTC as an elective. The Falcon Battalion leadership gave our son confidence and a sense of purpose that he lacked. Shaun was a victim of bullying in elementary and middle school but his self-confidence is stronger because of JROTC teachers. This is an expression of gratitude to the cadre. Our hope is the Falcon Battalion will continue to be an inspiration to all students."

“I made a career change to teaching after 26 years in sales and marketing. As a new teacher, particularly from a different field, I had a lot to learn. I was assigned to a learning coach Sam Murfee. His wisdom and guidance has and continues to be invaluable. OCPS is lucky to have someone like Sam Murfee.”
"When the pandemic hit, my daughters both went virtual (with everyone else) and Ms. Wilson kept her students engaged and on track. She had empathy when her students were struggling and helped get them excited to learn. She also put in time after school to help my girls stay on track. Even though my daughter is no longer in her class, she continues to work with my daughters and give them the one-on-one attention they were missing by staying virtual students. We are so thankful for her dedication and love for her students."
