Volunteers can read books to elementary students while others involve entire middle school classes in projects like a mock election. Some give demonstrations using musical instruments, scientific equipment or teach practical, personal skills to high school students such as managing a checking account and using credit cards wisely.
You can read a book; share an educational experience; give students a window into your career; or talk about a favorite vacation, hobby, or even a special teacher who touched your life. Whatever your skills, no matter your topic, there is a classroom of students waiting to hear from you! To be matched with the appropriate grade and classroom(s), please register to serve as a presenter at the school of your choice.
It only takes as little as an hour of your time.
To register to be a "Teacher for a Day" during Teach-In 2024, contact the school of your choice directly or click here to select a school and complete the online registration form today. Once your register, you will be contacted directly by the school's Teach-In coordinator regarding your assignment.
Teach-In volunteers are encouraged to work with the school of their choice to set-up in-person, virtual or pre-recorded presentations.
