    What will my gift help provide?

    Gifts to the Boundless Annual Fund’s Student Essentials campaign can help address needs such as food, clothing, unexpected family hardship, housing instability and holiday support. Gifts may be allocated where the needs of OCPS students and educators are greatest.

    Why give student essentials through the Foundation for OCPS?

    Schools are places where students learn and build community. They are also trusted points of connection when families need support. Your gift helps schools respond to needs beyond academics so students have more room to participate and thrive.

    Can I support a particular need, such as food pantries or holiday assistance?

    Yes. When giving online, you can designate your gift to one of our Student Essentials priorities: the Food Pantry, Community Outreach Schools Holiday Drive, Angel Tree for students experiencing homelessness and migrant students, Distressed Students and Families Fund, or OCPS Family Fund. If you have another purpose in mind, contact us before giving so we can discuss how to align your gift with your wishes and the Foundation’s mission.

    How will I know the impact of my gift?

    The Foundation shares impact stories in our monthly e-newsletter, on social media and through other communications so you can see how community support helps OCPS students and families. Needs vary across schools and throughout the year, so these stories reflect the campaign’s collective impact rather than linking your gift to a particular item or student.

    Can my employer match my gift?

    Many employers offer matching gift programs. Ask your employer whether the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools is eligible, then contact us if you need information to complete the request.

    Can I give directly from my IRA?

    A gift from your IRA through the Foundation for OCPS can help students access essentials, support families through difficult moments and give educators resources to respond when needs arise. If you are age 70½ or older, ask your IRA custodian and tax adviser whether a qualified charitable distribution is right for you.
