Joie joined the Foundation team as a Consultant after retiring form the Orange County School Board in 2018.  She served 16 years as School Board Member, including serving as Chairman of the Board and President of the Florida School Boards Association in 2012-13. 

Prior to serving on the school board, Joie spent 20 years working and volunteering in the non-profit sector.  She served as PTA at President at Dommerich Elementary, Maitland Middle and Winter Park High schools. 

She is the proud parent of two Winter Park High School graduates.  Joie received the Lifetime Wildcat honor from both Principal Gordon and Principal Smith.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her five grandchildren, and attending live theatre productions.
