Pursuing a post-secondary education is one of the greatest decisions in our lives. Through generous funders, the Foundation for OCPS can offer scholarships to qualified students. Applications can be submitted in four steps. 

The 2025-26 scholarship cycle will be open from Thursday, November 20, 2025, through Saturday, February 28, 2026, for most available opportunities.

Ways to submit a winning scholarship application:

  • Review all criteria before starting your application. 
  • Most scholarships require either a written or video essay submission. Make sure you have read the requirements of the submission. 
  • Written essays using ChatGPT or other AI software tools will be disqualified.
  • If the scholarship requires a video submission, please keep the video to under five minutes, dress professionally, and reduce any background noise.
  • Ask a family member, teacher, or counselor to proofread your application before submitting.

4Rivers Black Youth Scholarship

The 4Rivers Black Youth Scholarship will award a student pursuing a vocational, 2-year, or 4-year degree at a college or university with a $2,500 scholarship.

Alexander Lauder W. Adams Estate Fund Scholarship

The Alexander Lauder W. Adams Fund was established in 1991 to provide scholarships for graduates of Edgewater High School. This scholarship awards $1,500 to qualified OCPS high school seniors.

Charles T. Smith Scholarship

The Charles T. Smith Scholarship is awarded to a high school senior who has shown excellence in volunteer service. The annual award is $1,000 to a qualified student.

Charlotte Rath Memorial Scholarship - me & myCommUnity

The Charlotte Rath Memorial Scholarship will award a student who participated in the me & myCommUnity mentorship program with a $2,500 scholarship award.

Coach Fred Pennington Scholarship

The Coach Fred Pennington Endowment Fund has helped provide annual $1,500 scholarships to Evans High School basketball players or cheerleaders from low-income families and seeking to attend a technical/vocational school, college, or univeristy.

David and Stephanie Carmany Debate Scholarship

The David and Stephanie Carmany Debate Scholarship is awarded to a student who eis excelling in debate and pursuing a post-secondary education at a four-year college or university. Scholarship award amounts vary.

District 1 - CTE Career Pathways Scholarship

The CTE Career Pathways Scholarship will award a graduating senior who is currently enrolled in CTE classes and has a clear career pathway. Applicants must attend East River, Timber Creek, or University High School.

District 2 - Student Excellence Scholarship

The Student Excellence Scholarship will award one student graduating from a District 2 high school who was accepted to an out-of-state public college or university and holds a 3.7 unweighted GPA or higher.

District 7 - Keeping HOPE Alive Scholarship

The Keeping HOPE Alive Scholarship will award an OCPS senior who was an active participant at the HOPE Community Center in Apopka, FL during their time in high school and plans for post-secondary training or education.

Earl K. Wood Scholarship

The Earl K. Wood Scholarship fund award recognizes public speaking ability in a high school senior as it honors the long-time Orange County Tax Collector, who was a member of the Orlando Conquerors Toastmaster Club 1066 for many years. One student will be awarded a scholarship of $2,500.

George W. Brown Memorial Scholarship

Scholarships will be awarded to Jones High School seniors who have overcome socio-economic disadvantages to become recognized for their potential to grow academically and to make a positive contribution to the greater good. 

Hurd Family Scholarship

A $2,500 scholarship will be awarded to one Winter Park High School student who plans to enroll full-time at a community college, demonstrates the attributes of leadership, community engagement, drive, integrity, and work ethic, with a minimum 2.8 GPA on a 4.0 GPA scale.

Impacto Academico Leadership Scholarship

The Impacto Academico Leadership Scholarship will award Brazilian students with individualized support and mentorship for college preparedness and leadership skills. The awardees will receive in-kind services valued at up to $9,000.

KMD Foundation Scholarship

The KMD Foundation is dedicated to to supporting traditionally underrepresented students who are culturally responsible future leaders.

Mikey Stroz Memorial Scholarship

Each spring, the Fund will distribute a scholarship to a graduating senior who has been accepted to a college/university or a technical college. Priority will be given to a student-athlete who has been part of the Central Florida lacrosse family. Scholarship award amounts vary.

Neffo Scholarship

The Neffo Scholarship is to support a high school senior dedicated to community service who has at least one parent working for Orange County Public Schools. The award amount is $1,000.

Paul & Sarah Goodman Scholarship

The Neffo Scholarship is to support a high school senior dedicated to community service who has at least one parent working for Orange County Public Schools. The award amount is $1,000.

Ron Jon Scholarship

The Ron Jon Scholarship will be awarded to two OCPS seniors who seek to pursue an undergraduate degree at a Florida college or university in a business-related program with a scholarship award of $3,500.

Royce B. Walden & Bert E. Roper Scholarship

The Royce B. Walden and Bert E. Roper Scholarship Fund is for migrant and homeless graduating senior high school students from Apopka High School, Evans High School, Jones High School, Ocoee High School, or West Orange High School who plan to attend a program at an OCPS Career & Technical Education Center. Scholarship award amounts vary.

District 4: STEAM & Volunteering Scholarship

The STEAM & Volunteering Scholarship is open to all OCPS students with a minimum GPA of 3.0 who have a career interest in STEM/STEAM and/or Volunteerism/Service.

Suncoast Credit Union Scholars

The Suncoast Credit Union Foundation is awarding $2,000 to two high school seniors pursuing a post-secondary education in the 2026-27 school year at an accredited Florida 4-year college or university, 2-year college, or technical school.

Tom E. Halley & Carl W. Parks Memorial Scholarship

The Tom E. Halley & Carl W. Parks Memorial Scholarship supports students who are experiencing financial hardships with a $1,000 award.

Tom Moore Memorial Scholarship

To honor the memory of Tom Moore, University High School teacher who taught International Baccalaureate English and Film, this scholarship provides a UHS student seeking a 4-year degree at a college or university.
