A Partnership in Recycling, Sustainability, Education, & Fundraising
Since 2018, the Foundation for OCPS’s partnership with Charity Recycling Service has helped raise over $300,000 and diverted three million pounds of used clothing and shoes from landfills.
For every pound collected, schools receive 10¢. Charity Recycling bins are aesthetically pleasing, made in the USA, and occupies a quarter of a parking space.
100% of funds raised are designated to the school’s fund held and managed by the Foundation for OCPS.
Filling Pantries. Nourishing Families.
School pantries are located at every OCPS school to support students and families experiencing food insecurity.
Many Partners in Education contribute in-kind food staples to help fill school-based pantries across our district throughout the year. Schools can request financial assistance to re-supply items for families that utilize the pantries at the schools. 100% of funds raised to support the OCPS food pantries go to supporting restocking shelves with nutritionally balanced, family-friendly pantry staples.
