For decades, faith-based organization have partnered with schools throughout Orange County. Since 2017, the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools has expanded its outreach and collaboration with faith- and community-based organizations to support public education.
The Faith-Based Council is focused, determined, and committed to providing youth with as many resources as possible. Through the Partners in Education program, adopting-a-school becomes a great vehicle to connect with a school in the local community.
Join us in promoting three pillars to maximize student success by creating healthy conditions at school and home – good character, stay-in-school, and anti-bullying. Relationships can be developed with students through a combination of activities such as:
- School-Based Mentoring cultivates trusting relationships between adult role models and students, developing positive social skills in students and a sense of belonging among peers, families, and communities.
- Program Support addresses student needs including efforts through OCPS food pantry, school supply drives, student volunteer projects, and holiday “wish” lists.
- After School & Summer programs provide enrichment activities for students, such as sports leagues, STEM clinics, and other creative ideas.
Get Started in 3 Easy Steps!
- Select a school of your choice.
