A Gift from Gabe
A Gift from Gabe is a fund that was started to honor the memory of Gabriel Ortiz. Your donations will allow students access to apply for funding to cover those needed expenses – clothing that fits, athletic equipment, a backpack, etc.

Aiyanna McCoy Memorial Fund
Our hearts go out to the family of Aiyanna McCoy. On Saturday, November 11, 2023, the Orange Center Elementary family lost an active and kind kindergarten student in a hit and run car accident.

Brielle's Brigade Fund
The family has exhausted their financial resources and insurance only covers so much. They would like to allow Brielle to be able to stay home and receive necessary home-health-nurse care. Will you please help the Warren family to care for her by joining Brielle’s Brigade?

Coach Tommy Tucker Fund
Long time Coach Tommy Tucker suffered a devastating loss when his home was destroyed by fire. He was always there for our athletes and it is time for the Dr. Phillips family to show support to a man who means so much to the community.

Damien Bosher Family Fund
Damien and his family have a long road ahead (3-4 years of treatment which is mainly outpatient therapy), but his doctors are optimistic he will make a full recovery. Damien and his family will need all the support from his OCPS family during this difficult time.

De'Nari Family Fund
De'Nari had a seizure resulting in diabetic ketoacidosis and multi-organ failure. She was quite ill and is still recovering at home with multiple doctor's appointments, including occupational therapy and physical therapy. The fund will help contribute to past due rent, utility and mounting medical bills.

Emiliano Memorial Fund
We are devastated to share that one of our youngest students was hit and killed by a vehicle while riding his bicycle in January 2025. Emiliano, or Alex as his family and friends lovingly called him, was a kindergarten student at Lovell Elementary. He enjoyed attending school to see his teacher and playing with his friends.

Jeffory Stimson Memorial Fund
On his way to work on Tuesday, May 2, 2023, Jeffory (Jeff) Stimson was involved in a fatal motor vehicle accident. Jeff loved being a School Bus driver and started working with OCPS Transportation in April 2017. He will be missed by all.

Madres Inspiradoras Award
On August 18, 2024, Eileen left this earth in a tragic explosion while on vacation in the Dominican Republic. Her husband Luis, and son Luca survive her. Eileen’s memory and dedication continue to live on in the progress of the students and families in the Migrant Education Program. The Eileen Mendez Mella Award Fund will provide an annual monetary award and a gift basket of books and learning activities to a mother in the Migrant Education Program.

Padilla Family Fund
The Padilla family have been staying in their car. Tristen works a part-time job after school, and whenever he gets paid he helps his family by paying for a night or two at a hotel. The family is currently on a waiting list to stay at a shelter that can welcome the whole family. Due to the housing crisis we are experiencing in our area it has been hard for the Padilla family to find something consistent at the moment.

Perez Galvis Memorial Fund
We are so sorry to share that our long-time and beloved teacher, Mrs. Adriana Galvis, suffered the unexpected loss of her husband, Efrain Perez. They were married for more than 26 years, and Efrain was an incredibly loving father to his twin sons as well as a supportive and loving husband. To honor his memory and to help Mrs. Galvis as she grieves his loss, we are raising funds that will be dedicated to their two sons’ higher education costs.

Stella DuPont Memorial Fund
Stella DuPont was a bright light; a friend to every human and animal that was lucky enough to come into her life. Sadly, Stella passed away from a ruptured brain aneurysm on Tuesday, October 17th. Stella’s parents Kyle and Ashley DuPont and four year old sister Norah are coping with the unimaginable grief of losing their sweet Stella.

Tammy Lafayette Memorial Fund
Tammy Lafayette's journey through cancer was filled with remarkable bravery and unwavering strength. She faced her challenges head-on and ultimately transitioned peacefully, surrounded by her family and loved ones.In this time of need, your generous donations will assist with funeral expenses and provide support to her loved ones. Every contribution, no matter the size, will help ease the burdens of Tammy’s family during this difficult period.

Tori Sheahan Memorial Health Education Fund
As the School Nursing Initiative Coordinator for the Winter Park Consortium of Schools, she supervised, mentored, and supported school nurses in Winter Park High School and all its elementary and middle feeder schools, and she also staffed the Glenridge Middle School-Based Health Center. The fund is used to provide medical supplies and health education resources to school-based health centers in the Winter Park Consortium of Schools and for a "Kindness and Compassion" cash award to a graduating Winter Park High School senior who has been recognized by the high school faculty and administration to exemplify these characteristics.
