Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children Announces Grants Partnership with Foundation

Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children has agreed to fund a new mini-grant program for Orange County Public School teachers through the Foundation for Orange County Public Schools. A generous gift of $10,000 will be used to fund a health related mini-grant program during the 2010-11 school year. Classroom teachers in Orange County Public Schools will be able to apply for these funds on a competitive basis for innovative projects and lessons that incorporate health education into their curriculum. As with our other classroom grant programs, teacher applications will be judged by a panel of community volunteers, and will be awarded in the fall of 2010. Chris Stowers, vice president of Arnold Palmer Medical Center, and member of the Foundation for OCPS Board of Directors, helped make this grant possible.

Special thanks to Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children for this wonderful gift that will help students learn about healthy living!
